It's simple to add your own database to The Open Database Project. You begin by becoming a Data Author member at our sponsor, eCriteria: www.eCriteria.net.  A Standard Membership to eCriteria is FREE of charge. Once registered, you can immediately begin publishing your desktop data from Excel, Access, or any other software application that exports to plain-text ASCII, or .csv files.  You also can create new, empty databases into which people can enter new data. eCriteria, and the project, offers two types of databases: searchable and data entry.  Using eCriteria simple-to-use Web Database Publishing Wizard, you can get your data up live on the Web in 15 minutes, without any programming or database knowledge.

Only databases that you mark as "public" will be considered by the project. eCriteria offers excellent data security for "private" databases that will not be visible to the project.
