eCriteria Announces Product Launch
Written by Ms. Camille Jacks, PR Manager

Culver City, CA - January 16, 2001, eCriteria is very pleased to announce its official product website launch today. The launch represents the culmination of over one year of technical design, core technology development, and business development efforts.  At time of launch, eCriteria already supports a modest but growing number of production websites, all depending on database-enabled functionality provided by the product. Touted as the “Web’s Database Service Provider,” eCriteria provides a quick,  easy-to-use, and cost-effective facility for publishing “shrink-wrap” web database that may be attached to new or existing websites. No programming or database knowledge is required, just point-and-click through the Web Database Publishing Wizard process to quickly publish desktop data as a searchable web database. eCriteria provides the ideal means for small businesses to virtualize their data for use on the web. The eCriteria site is located at: www.eCriteria.ws.

The company’s first primary target market is the Small Office Home Office (SOHO) sector. Small businesses currently hosting their static websites with low-cost or free hosting services may effectively use eCriteria to provide database functionality. Some possible uses of eCriteria for small business include - searchable lists: vendors, customers, inventory, employees, affiliates, etc., database-driven web forms: website guest book, product order form, event registration form, survey form, etc., as well as simple human resources and CRM applications.

eCriteria is excited to announce that its beta-test Web site has been officially re-launched. As result of comments and suggestions by our team of beta-testers, the re-launch includes an entirely new portal-style architecture, and has been retooled to
provide the site with greater functionality of service and new-user capabilities while maintaining previously established quality assurance standards. The eCriteria site continues to be located at its original web address: www.eCriteria.ws.

In order to proliferate the company’s brand, “Database Powered by eCriteria,” a number of strategic partnerships have been finalized. eCriteria partners include: NetLedger Inc., Data Return Corp., Business.com, ACT! (Interact Commerce Corp.), 4SmallBusiness.com, PrimeStreet, B2Bnow.com (Network Commerce Inc.), ASP Island, BusinessNation.com,
FindApps.com, Uhire.com Inc., and others.

The power of eCriteria has already attracted praise from its early customer base. Phillip Choi, CEO of Silla Cooling Systems, a Los Angeles based automotive parts distributor, created an eCriteria data entry form for their website to efficiently receive requests for quotes for automobile radiators and condensers. These requests directly feed into their eCriteria database, and are easily uploaded to their corporate database. Rather than hiring a web database developer and paying more than $3,000 to create the web database, Mr. Choi decided that eCriteria offered a smarter alternative. “The ease and cost-effectiveness that eCriteria provides is remarkable. This is the perfect solution for rapidly growing small businesses.”

A Word from the CEO

“The launch of eCriteria, our first major web product, represents an evolution of our core competency, building database-enabled websites for business,” says Dan D. Gutierrez, Founder and CEO of eCriteria. “The close-knit eCriteria team is very excited about the launch that has been months in planning and preparation. We’re glad to be out the door and profitable, and have many exciting plans for extending our technology and marketing reach.”
